HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: Teachers MLC Malka Komuraiah has urged the Telangana government to rectify the injustices caused due to the implementation of GO 317 and the displacement of teachers and their families from their native districts due to non-local transfers.
To lodge their protest, a bus yatra was organised under the banner of the Telangana Gurukul Association for Rights and Interests of All (T-GARIA) and was successfully conducted on Thursday, highlighting the demands of the affected teachers. The major demands raised include rectification of injustices under G.O. 317 through allocation and transfers strictly on the basis of local candidature, return of displaced teachers to their home districts, equitable treatment in service matters, and immediate release of salaries to all categories of employees—regular, contract, outsourcing, and part-time—along with clearance of pending diet charges and building rents.
Teacher MLC Malka Komaraiah met Krishna Aditya, Education Secretary, and presented a detailed representation on the issues faced by SC Gurukul teachers. Responding positively, the Secretary assured that salaries for all employees would be released by the first of every month, special measures were being taken to clear pending dues, and that service-related grievances would be resolved in a teacher- and employee-friendly manner.
Komaraiah expressed his appreciation to the T-GARIA leadership, SC Gurukul teachers, and various teacher groups for their participation and support, stating that he would continue to stand by the teaching community until all issues are resolved and permanent solutions achieved.
