KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 25, 2026: The Telangana Social Welfare Degree College for Women in Nagunur, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, in its endeavour to generate and foster awareness about the hazards of e-waste, flagged off an e-waste awareness programme on Wednesday.
Under the campaign of “Say no to e-waste”, students showcased creative models highlighting the gravity of the problem of e-waste in the country, its effects on the environment and human health, classification of e-waste materials, scientific processes for e-waste disposal and e-waste recycling methods. They also presented innovative ideas to reduce the generation of e-waste.

The programme was organised by TASK, and the resource person was B Swapna, who explained the importance of safe disposal and recycling of electronic waste. Vice Principal S. Padmaja and ACO G. Vasumathi attended the programme and appreciated the initiative. A momento was presented to the resource person. The session was coordinated by Deepti.
