
JAGTIAL, JULY 19, 20-25: Jagtial district Additional DMHO Dr Srinivas has informed the people to take necessary precautions to stay safe from mosquito-borne and water-borne diseases amid the monsoon season. With the increased risk of waterlogging and mosquito breeding during this time, he said, emphasising the importance of preventive measures to avoid the spread of diseases.
Participating in a comprehensive medical camp conducted in Gullapeta village of Jagtial rural mandal on Saturday, the Additional DMHO advised the people to eliminate standing water around their homes to prevent mosquito breeding, use mosquito repellents, and wear protective clothing. He also cautioned against consuming contaminated water and ensuring that their food is properly cooked to prevent waterborne illnesses.
As part of the camp, the doctors have conducted TB, HIV, diabetes, and High Blood Pressure tests and distributed medicines. Medical officer Dr Soujanya, ANM Shoba, STS Srinivas, Counsellor Tirupati, IT Raju, NGO Sravya and others were also present.
