PEDDAPALLI, MAY 16, 2025: NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana formally inaugurated the Swachhta Pakhwada on 16th May 2025, marking the beginning of a fortnight-long campaign dedicated to promoting cleanliness and sustainable living. The initiative, scheduled from 16th to 31st May 2025, reflects NTPC’s unwavering commitment to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
All participants took the Swachhta Pledge in both Hindi and English, reaffirming their dedication to cleanliness and hygiene. Following the pledge, everyone actively took part in a Safai Abhiyaan, contributing to the collective effort to keep the surroundings clean.
Further, Prabhat Pheri was held from the Main Shopping Complex to the Main Gate led by Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (R&T). In his address, Samanta highlighted the importance of integrating cleanliness into daily life. “Swachhta should not be limited to a specific fortnight; every day should be celebrated as Swachhta Diwas,” he stated, urging township residents to take collective responsibility for maintaining hygiene in their surroundings.
The event witnessed active participation from various stakeholders, including Rakhi Samanta, President, DMS; K.C. Singha Roy, GM (Operations); Babar Salim Pasha, Central NBC member; Roopa Singha Roy, senior DMS members, union and association representatives, and NTPC employees and their family members.
NTPC Ramagundam remains committed to fostering a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship within its operational areas and residential townships.
