KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 27, 2025: The Satavahana University of Karimnagar will start offering a PhD programme in Telugu Studies from the academic year 2025-26 onwards.
The programme is aimed at providing better academic opportunities to students. Candidates, who are eligible and interested in the programme, can apply for admission after reading the guidelines for admission to PhD courses, available on the SU website.
Candidates applying for the programme must have a master’s degree in Telugu with at least 55 per cent marks along with JRF/NET qualification. However, applicants will be required to qualify for the university’s PhD eligibility test.
On this occasion, the Department of Telugu of Satavahana University has thanked Vice Chancellor Prof U Umesh Kumar and felicitated him for fulfilling the long pending dream of Telugu department students, who are waiting to pursue higher education after completing NET and JRF. Telugu department head G Laxminarayana, faculty members Pavani, Swarajyam, K Satyanarayana, B Ramesh, S Arun, Pushpa, Ch Srinivas, Ravi, Jagan, N Sai Krishna, Raghava, Lavanya, Srilatha, Pawani, student leader Ch Chaintanya and others were also present.
