Employers use social media to screen candidates and reject the aspirants for their controversial views
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 08, 2025: Gopal TK Krishna, Founder and President, Krishna Engineering Consultants Inc, Iowa, USA, has informed the students to desist from sharing views on social media as they would lose the opportunity to secure employment in various firms.
He said that employers use social media to screen candidates and reject the aspirants for their controversial views on social media, and advised students to avoid using social media in sharing their personal views and also reduce the use of social media to the maximum.
Participating as a Resource person at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), Karimnagar interactive session with the B Tech final year students titled “Interactive Insights Preparing for tomorrow’s challenges” on Monday, Mr Gopal TK Krishna said that the days have changed from checking the astrology of the bride and groom before marriage to checking their social media in the present generation. He cautioned the students to be wary of the usage of social media.
He enlightened the students on various issues pertaining to secure employment and pursuing higher education after their graduation. Educating the students about the importance of learning throughout life, he said that the students after securing employment would excel only if they maintain discipline and respect. Besides, they should be learning continuously to excel in their chosen career, he added.
An alumnus of Osmania University Engineering college, Mr Gopal TK Krishna has donated Rs 10 crore for the construction of his mentor of Prof Y Narasimhan’s building for EEE department of the college. He also donated one million dollars to two universities in USA, where he pursued his higher education, through which the universities were providing six scholarships to the students.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao, secretary J Sumith Sai, Principal Anil Kumar, Dean PK Vaishali and other faculty members thanked Mr Gopal TK Krishna for his valuable inputs. They exhorted the students to imbibe teaching of the interactive session and excel in their chosen profession.
