
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 21, 2025: Students of the Vivekananda Degree and PG College in Karimnagar town celebrated the Bathukamma festivities with much pomp and gaiety on its premises on Sunday.
The girl students and women teachers arrived in their best attire. After offering prayers to the Goddess Gauri, the students and teachers prepared the Bathukammas by stacking different varieties of flowers in a conical shape. On the occasion, students were told about the importance of celebrating Bathukamma. They were also informed about the significance of various traditional flowers, such as Thangedu, Gunugu, Marigold, Chrysanthemum, and Lotus, and their medicinal properties.
The atmosphere was electric, with girls and teachers clad in traditional attire and jewellery, singing and dancing around the beautiful floral formations of Goddess Gauri in her praise with religious fervour and unmatched enthusiasm. Principal Ch Srinivas, ACO B Sampath Kumar, AO B Sravan Kumar, Commerce department head R Gopi Krishna, faculty members K Jyothi, K Kiran Jyothi, N Sharada, M Rajitha and others were also present.
