
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, DECEMBER 16, 2025: Students of the Social Welfare Degree College from Rajanna-Sircilla district received widespread appreciation for showcasing their creative handicraft skills at the recently held Telangana Global Summit in Hyderabad.
Students of BSc (Honours) Design Technology from the Social Welfare Degree College exhibited a wide range of innovative creations from the 8th to the 13th of this month at the Global Summit. Their exhibits included fabric paintings, garments, art paintings, art gallery products, accessories, home décor items, and other creative works. The students’ creativity, design expertise, and innovative ideas attracted many visitors and earned high appreciation.
The Expo was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy and Minister for Social Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar. Receiving recognition on a state-level platform became a moment of pride for the institution.
On this occasion, College Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, along with the faculty members, paid a courtesy visit to In-Charge District Collector Garima Agrawal at the IDOC office. After examining the students’ products, the In-Charge Collector appreciated their creative talent and congratulated them, encouraging the students to achieve greater heights in the future.

Later, acknowledging the dedication and commitment of the Design and Technology (BDT) faculty, the In-Charge Collector felicitated and congratulated Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, and the faculty members for their contribution to nurturing student talent.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal K. Lavanya stated that this achievement marks another significant milestone in the college’s journey towards academic excellence, highlighting the combined efforts of students and faculty.
