

HYDERABAD, JANUARY 26, 2025: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and gaiety at the Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad on Sunday.
The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of the national flag followed by the National Anthem by school founder chairman Dr Velichala Kondal Rao. He was received with the guard of honour by the NCC and Bharat Scouts and Guides of the school. The correspondent Rtn. Hari Hara Prasad and Principal Dr Lalitha Kumari Thota and others were also present.
The programme commenced with the Welcome address by Principal Lalitha Kumari She emphasized the theme of the Republic Day 2025 “Swarnim Bharat”, Golden India Heritage and Development reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and its ongoing journey of progress. She also hailed the services rendered by our defence personnel guarding the LOC under subzero temperatures. The cultural programmes included talks by students, patriotic songs, and a colourful and attractive dance depicting the festivals of India by students of classes I and II . The tiny tots won the hearts of the gathering by enacting a skit inculcating the spirit of patriotism.
National Leaders were brought alive to the stage by the power dressing of the young patriots. The dance drama ‘Nenu Na Desam’ triggered various emotions like love, pride and respect towards the nation. Karate Display by the middle school children showed their strength and power. The celebration came to an end with the Vote of thanks by Mrs Annapurna, Academic Coordinator, Primary Wing. Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Chairman of the school extended his greetings to the staff and students of SNS. The tiny tots’ rocking performance was a feast to the eyes. The whole campus of SNS reverberated with patriotic fervour.
