
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 14, 2025: As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India campaign) programme, students of the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Satavahana University, Karimnagar town, took the pledge on Thursday.
Under the leadership of the college’s NSS programme officer K Sunitha, the faculty, non-teaching staff, and students of the college took the anti-drug pledge.
All the participants in this program pledged to stay away from drugs and work towards the prevention of drug abuse in society. Principal K. Srisailam, Head of the Department G. L. Archana, B. Bhagyalakshmi, CH. Anil Kumar, Srinivas Nayak participated in this programme.
The speakers said the students should remain vigilant about the harmful effects of drugs, actively participate in the campaign, and show collective resolve against substance abuse. “The youth are the future of the state and the country. Unfortunately, drug use is rising, making it essential to guide them in the right direction while strengthening prevention and rehabilitation measures,” they said.
