RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 07, 2026: Students of the Life Sciences of the Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet Mandal Headquarters, visited Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolaram, Secunderabad, on Wednesday as part of an educational field visit.
With the encouragement and support of the college Principal, Professor V Vijayalakshmi, the visit was organised under the guidance of the Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry department faculty members.
As part of this visit, the students observed and learned about various initiatives such as ECO Bazaar, modern agricultural practices, nursery stalls, workshop areas, silkworm rearing, and beekeeping methods. They also gained knowledge about the process of extracting oil from grasses and medicinal plants, and viewed exhibitions on organic vegetables, natural dyes, and pesticides.

The programme was attended by Assistant Professor V Vani from the Department of Chemistry, K. V. Bikshamaiah, Lecturer in Zoology, J Sucharan, Lecturer in Botany, along with first- and second-year Life Sciences students, who gained valuable awareness and knowledge about modern scientific and agricultural practices.
