RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 06, 2026: Students of Government Degree College in Gambhiraopet mandal headquarters have launched the Telangana government’s ambitious programme of ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ by taking up a clean and green sanitation drive on the college campus on Friday.
Under the guidance of College V Vijaya Lakshmi, the NSS volunteers and other students participated in the programme and removed the spilt-over garbage, waste material, shrubs and unwanted weeds on the college campus. The Principal also administered a pledge to the students, encouraging them to plant trees and keep the surroundings clean and tidy.
Further, as per the directions of the CCE, the Principal formed various committees in the presence of the College Vice-Principal and the IQAC Coordinator. These committees were assigned to faculty members to look after matters such as campus cleanliness, furniture repairs, electrical repairs, e-waste management, and the disposal of old files.
On this occasion, NSS volunteers and the NSS Programme Officer actively participated in the Public Administration Progress Plan activities. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students enthusiastically took part and made the program a success. A pledge to promote all Government initiatives for welfare was taken up.
