
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 10, 2025: Students and Teachers of Manair Educational Institutions had felicitated the schools’ chairman K Anantha Reddy and Director K Sunitha Reddy on the auspicious occasion of Guru Pournami, a festival honouring teachers, on Thursday.
The Manair High School, Padmanagar in Karimnagar town, conducted a special assembly to mark the occasion and to acknowledge the contribution of Gurus in shaping the personality of their disciples. The celebration commenced on a cheerful note with student speeches highlighting the importance of a teacher. This was followed by an inspirational speech highlighting the importance of teachers in a student’s life. Students also performed a prayer-dance expressing their love and gratitude towards their teachers.
On this occasion, the teachers felicitated K Anantha Reddy couple by presenting them with garlands and shawls for guiding the students during the last four decades. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Anantha Reddy said that the day emphasises the importance of gurus in guiding students towards knowledge and righteousness. Recollecting the days of Veda Vyas Maharshi, who had written the Mahabharata, he said that the Guru Pournami is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Veda Vyas.
He said that the first Gurus of students are their parents and later comes the teachers and others. He informed the students to respect their parents and teachers. The Principals, Vice Principals and teachers were also present.
