KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 10, 2026: With the government degree colleges losing sheen over the years following the mushrooming of private degree colleges and the increasing craze for English medium in various parts of the district, the faculty of government degree colleges has donned the role of public relations officer (PROs) and began encouraging students and their parents for enrolment into the government colleges.
Accordingly, the faculty members of SRR Government Arts and Science College (autonomous) in Karimnagar town have been dispatched to various Intermediate examinations, distributed pamphlets, and educated the students and their parents about studying in a government degree college for their higher education. The SRR college faculty wooed the students about the advantages of studying in their college, such as infrastructure, laboratories, library, experienced faculty, extra-curricular activities such as NCC and NSS, etc.
They also informed the students about the online admission process for degree courses through the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) portal. The faculty members who participated in the admission campaign were appreciated by the College Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna, Vice-Principals P. Nitin and T. Rajaiah, TGCGTA State General Secretary K. Surender Reddy, IQAC Coordinator Harjyoth Kaur, Staff Club Secretary M. Srinivas Reddy, and DOST Coordinator R. Ramakrishna.
