
MANGALURU, JULY 19, 2025: “Research is a process of inquiry that involves the collection, analysis and organisation of evidence to increase knowledge and understanding of a topic,” said Research Coordinator, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of Srinivas University, Professor Laveena Dmello.
Participating as the chief guest in Doctoral Consortium Meeting (DCM) at the ISSH on Pandeshwar campus on Saturday, Prof Laveena exhorted the scholars to be as original as possible in their interpretation and analysis of the literary works. She encouraged the scholars to be abreast of the developments in their respective fields of research. Stating that there will be three scholars presenting their first DCM and one, her DCM II.
“Attending DCM would be an exposure to the scholars to prepare themselves well for their presentations with confidence,” she added. Prof Laveena also advised the scholars to attend the Annual Research Conclave to be held on August 23. The event was chaired by Prof Manjula KT, and Dr Anup Tenzil Vegas of St Aloysius Deemed University was the external examiner. Research Professors Dr Tungesh GM and Dr Srinivas Vooradi, Dr Bhuvana Ram and Ambika G Mallya and scholars were present.
