HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 24, 2025: The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) is a landmark initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, aimed at strengthening healthcare services for women and children across India, with a focus on improving access, quality care, and awareness. A series of health camps and awareness programmes is being organised across CGHS Wellness Centres in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
A Cancer Screening Camp was held on Wednesday at the CGHS Wellness Centre, CGO Towers, Kavadiguda, under the guidance of Dr Pradeep, Sr CMO. Apart from the free health check-up, counselling by experts was given on breast and cervical cancer. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jyothi Jonnadula emphasised, “Early detection is key to effective cancer treatment. Camps like these not only provide preventive care but also raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups.”
Health camp and Swachhata Camp at CGO Towers Kavadiguda
The Additional Director of General, PIB, who was also present at the health camp addressed the participants on another significant campaign being run by the Government of India called ‘Swachhtotsav’ and brought out the underlying connection of good health with a good environment. She urged the gathering to adopt the mantra of ‘Reuse- Recycle and Reduce’ and distributed jute bags to participants, encouraging the reduction of plastic use.
Simultaneously, the CGHS Wellness Centre-IV, Begumpet, hosted Metabolic Liver Diseases Screening Camp targeting women beneficiaries. Nearly 100 participants actively took part in the screenings aimed at early detection and preventive care. In addition, an awareness session on the benefits of medicinal plants, along with their distribution, was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Rohini Prathaban, Additional Director, CGHS Hyderabad, in collaboration with AYUSH physicians.
Health Camp at CGHS Begumpet
The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan campaign was inaugurated on September 17, 2025, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aligning with his vision for empowered communities. The Abhiyan intends to ensure comprehensive screenings for women’s health issues like anaemia, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer.
