
NEW DELHI, JULY 15, 2025: Dr. T Lalitha Kumari, a distinguished educator and school leader, recently attended a five-day national-level Capacity Building Workshop held at NCERT, New Delhi, from July 7 to 11, 2025. The event was organised collaboratively by CBSE, NCERT, and UNESCO to train prospective resource persons for the roll-out of the School Health and Wellness Programme in CBSE-affiliated schools.
The comprehensive workshop focused on 11 critical modules designed to promote holistic well-being among students, covering areas such as Emotional Well-being and Mental Health, Interpersonal Relationships, Gender Equality, Prevention and Management of Substance Misuse, and the Promotion of Safe Use of Internet, Gadgets, and Media, among others.
During the training, Dr. Lalitha Kumari actively participated in sessions led by renowned experts from prestigious institutions like AIIMS, NCERT, MoHFW, UNICEF, and UNESCO. The sessions included engaging presentations, planning activities, testimonies, and interactive evaluations that aimed at empowering educators to become Health and Wellness Ambassadors in their respective schools.
Dr. Kumari’s participation in this workshop is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening health education initiatives at the school level, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also develop resilience, empathy, and life skills essential for their overall growth.
