
RAMAGUNDAM, NOVEMBER 10, 2025: Inauguration of Base Workshop at Ramagundam-1, Inspection of CSR Works at Godavarikhani, Review of IK-OC Mine and “Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu” Ponds at Srirampur, and Review of Preparations for the New Thermal Unit at STPP
Singareni Chairman and Managing Director N. Balaram extensively toured Ramagundam-1, Srirampur Areas, and the Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) on Sunday.
At Ramagundam-1 Area, he inspected the GDK-5 Opencast Mine, reviewed coal production, and examined the saplings planted on OB dumps. He personally planted a few saplings as part of the environmental initiative. Later, he inaugurated the newly constructed Base Workshop for the opencast mine.
Director (E&M) M Thirumala Rao, Area General Manager Lalit Kumar, and other officials participated in the programme.

Subsequently, Balaram visited the IK Opencast Mine in Srirampur Area, where he reviewed the production process, transportation, and other operations, directing officials to meet their targets. He also visited the Mini Park developed near the mine and inspected the “Balaram Jaladhi” Mini Pond built under the “Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu” initiative. Expressing satisfaction with the water stored in the ponds, he appreciated the efforts to recharge groundwater.
Area General Manager Sri Srinivas and other officers accompanied him during this visit.
Later, the CMD visited the Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) to review the preparations for the Bhoomi Puja (groundbreaking ceremony) of the upcoming 800 MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project. He instructed the STPP Executive Director and General Managers to ensure all arrangements are made, as the foundation stone will soon be laid by the State Government.
He personally inspected the performance of the Methanol Pilot Plant established in the STPP premises and directed officials to commence experimental production shortly. He also reviewed the Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu ponds developed in the STPP area.
Director (E&M) M. Thirumala Rao, STPP Executive Director Ch. Chiranjeevi, General Managers Narasimharao, Madan Mohan, and several other officials accompanied the CMD during the visit.
