KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 30, 2026: The seven-day special National Service Scheme (NSS) camp conducted by NSS unit IV of SRR Government Arts and Science College concluded at Mothe village of Ramadugu mandal district on Monday.
As part of the camp, several activities were conducted according to the scheduled agenda, including awareness rallies, education on welfare schemes, blood donation drives, and the planting of 500 saplings. On the seventh and final day, a closing ceremony was held at the Mothe Gram Panchayat building.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Principal Professor Kalvakunta Ramakrishna stated: ”NSS volunteers must serve the society like soldiers without uniforms. These special camps instill patriotism and social responsibility in students. A disciplined life led through such service will help them reach great heights in the future.”
He congratulated the NSS Programme Officer, Padala Tirupathi, for organising the event and encouraged him to undertake more such service activities to bring laurels to the college.
Village Leadership Expresses Gratitude
The Village Sarpanch, Bathini Bhavani Praveen Kumar, expressed her special thanks to the Principal and Dr. Tirupathi for choosing their village for the camp. She noted that the volunteers set a great example by planting 500 saplings and organizing a blood donation drive where 20 volunteers participated. Inspired by their spirit, the Sarpanch’s brother, Bathini Sai Kumar Goud, also donated blood.
Deputy Sarpanch Sri Kummari Anil Kumar lauded the enthusiasm of the youth, mentioning that the volunteers successfully conducted:
Clean & Green and Swachh Bharat programs.
Census awareness and Voter awareness rallies.
Campaigns on healthcare, child welfare, and government welfare schemes.
