
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 10, 2025: The Commerce Department of the Government Degree College, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, organised a seminar on ‘Financial Awareness programme’ for the benefit of students in the college campus on Wednesday.
Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) representative Srinivas Reddy made a PowerPoint presentation and educated the students about the importance of investments in Mutual funds, Stock market, Systematic investment plan (SIP) and various concepts of investments for a better future. He advised the students to follow the 50-30-20 rule, thereby fixing 50 per cent for needs, 30 per cent for wants and 20 per cent for income must be put in for investments for a safe future.
Principal Hima Bindu explained to the students to plan their better future with less investment and more profits in the coming days. Vice Principal Bhanu Prakash, Economic department faculty member Ravinder Reddy, Commerce department faculty member Roja Sudhakar and others were also present.
