KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 02, 2026: Hands that once explained lessons are now tying knots; fingers that held textbooks are turning compasses; teachers who sat in classrooms are now resting under tents. The DIET LMD Colony in Karimnagar resembles a mini military camp on Monday. Conducted under the banner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, this training is shaping teachers not merely as instructors, but as ideal mentors and guides for students.
Teachers’ Adventure’ Journey

Samagra Shiksha Telangana’s vision to strengthen the Scouts and Guides programme in 850 schools across the state is taking concrete shape through this camp. A total of 280 teachers from 14 districts under Zone–2 are spending their days—from morning till night—immersed in scouting discipline and practices.
Training in Two Phases
The programme was organised in two batches:
First Batch (January 17 to 23, 2026):
145 teachers from Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Jangaon districts participated.
Second Batch (January 28 to February 3, 2026):
One hundred thirty-five teachers from Siddipet, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts participated.

Training Highlights: Lessons Beyond Skills
A closer look at the highlights of this feature reveals that what the teachers learned were not just skills, but life lessons:
The Art of Pioneering: Constructing bridges and towers using only poles and ropes. The lashings used in these activities enhance creativity and develop engineering-oriented thinking among students.
Mapping & Estimation: Adventurous skills such as identifying directions and estimating distances even in remote areas without technological support.
Life-Saving Skills: Through hands-on first aid training, instructors demonstrated how to save lives in emergencies.
Trainers: Pillars of Expertise
Leader Trainer Md Shareef infused the soul of this camp, and District Secretary Kankanala Ram Reddy. Under their supervision, teachers embraced even the most rigorous training with great enthusiasm.
Thanks to their effective guidance, teachers participated tirelessly in the demanding schedule from morning to night. The trainers’ commitment and teaching style transformed the participants into confident Scout Masters and Guide Captains, fully prepared to carry the spirit of scouting back to their schools.
