KOTHAGUDEM, JANUAR \Y 08, 2026: The National Institute of Plant Health Management organized 5th batch of 7-days training programme on “Scientific Beekeeping integrated with oil seed mission for enhancing honey production along with increasing productivity of Oil Seeds”” at KVK Bhadadri Kothagudem District, Telangana from Janauary 2 to 8, 2026.
The training was sponsored by National Bee Board, DA&FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt of India. A total of 25 FPOs farmers/beekeepers from various villages from the Bandadri kothagudem District, Telangana participated in the programme. The designed course content was delivered by NIPHM faculties and resource persons from Shree Natural Honey (Karimnagar), founder Thallapell Sanjana and KVK scientists for delivering the lectures in the above programme. The participants also learned the hands-on training on Honey bee colony management.
The Head KVK and other delegates inaugurated the programme and graced the inaugural session. The participants have an exposure visit to the village for the selection of the Apiary site and crops etc. The trainees were trained on classification of Bees, identification of Honey bee box and accessories, colony management, seasonal management, honey extraction and disease pest management and their practical aspects very well. P Sakthivel (Assistant Scientific Officer and Course Coordinator) and Karunakar Reddy Coordinated with the programme with Shree Natural Honey (Karimngar), Sanjana and successfully conducted the programme.
