
JAYASHANKAR-BHUPALAPALLY, NOVEMBER 26, 2025: National Institute of Plant Health Management organised the 3rd batch of a 7-day training programme on “Scientific Beekeeping integrated with oilseed mission for enhancing honey production along with increasing productivity of Oil Seeds” at Kataram Jaishankar Bupalpally District, Telangana, from November 20 to 26.
The training was sponsored by the National Bee Board, DA&FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt of India. A total of 25 FPO farmers/beekeepers from various villages in Jaishankar Bupalpally District, Telangana, participated in the programme. The designed course content was delivered by NIPHM faculties and resource persons from Shree Natural Honey (Karimnagar), founder Thallapelli Sanjana, and different private enterprises for delivering the lectures in the above programme.
The participants also learned the hands-on training on Honey bee colony management. The Chairperson Marketing Committee (AMC) inaugurated the programme and graced the inaugural session. The participants have an exposure visit to the Mahabubpally village for the selection Apiary site and crops etc. The trainees were trained on the classification of Bees, identification of the Honey bee box and accessories, colony management, seasonal management, honey extraction and disease pest management and their practical aspects very well.
P Sakthivel (Assistant Scientific Officer and Course Coordinator), PylaJyothi (Assistant Director and Asst. Course Coordinator) coordinated with the programme with Shree Natural Honey (Karimngar) Sanjana and successfully conducted the programme.
