

Valuable Insights from Retired Senior Officers for Singareni’s Sustainable Future
CMD and Directors Participated — A First-of-its-Kind Initiative in the Company’s History
KOTHAGUDEM, OCTOBER 15, 2025: As part of its efforts to shape a brighter future for the company, the Singareni management, which has already received valuable suggestions from unions, employees, and officers on the company’s strategic growth and long-term plans, has now involved retired senior officers in this process. For the first time in Singareni’s history, a brainstorming session was organized to gather the insights and recommendations of experienced retired officers for the company’s future roadmap.
In line with the directions of the Chairman and Managing Director, Sri N. Balram, to initiate steps for achieving the future annual coal production target of 100 million tonnes, the CPP and HRD Departments jointly organized a one-day brainstorming session on October 15, 2025, at the Illandu Club, Kothagudem, with the participation of Singareni Directors, General Managers under the Corporate Office, and retired Directors of the company. The session was presided over by Sri A. Manohar, GM (CPP).
Addressing the gathering through video conference, Sri N. Balram, CMD, stated that in order to withstand the growing competition in the coal sector and to achieve the ambitious goal of producing 100 million tonnes of coal annually, it is crucial not only to enhance coal production but also to diversify into other sectors. He emphasized that the experience and advice of retired Directors and General Managers are invaluable for shaping the company’s future and requested them to share their valuable suggestions for Singareni’s growth and sustainability.
Director (Operations), Sri L.V. Suryanarayana, inaugurated the session by explaining the status of underground and opencast coal production, thermal and solar power generation, and outlining future plans of the company.
Following this, retired Directors who had earlier served in various senior capacities in Singareni shared their suggestions for achieving the sustainable target of 100 million tonnes of coal production, reducing production costs, and the need for the company to diversify beyond coal for long-term stability and survival.
