HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 26, 2026: Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma lauded the dedication of the staff of the State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle, for their generous contribution of ₹53,00,000 to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. S. Radha Krishnan, Chief General Manager, SBI Hyderabad Circle, presented the cheque to the Governor at Lok Bhavan, Hyderabad, on Thursday.
The Governor, who is also the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, was joined on the occasion by Capt. Sreenivasulu, Director, Sainik Welfare, along with other senior officials from the Department of Sainik Welfare and SBI, Hyderabad Circle.
Appreciating the commendable efforts of SBI employees, the Hon’ble Governor described the contribution as a noble gesture and expressed confidence that it would inspire other organizations and citizens to extend similar support. He also acknowledged the consistent and valuable role played by SBI in promoting the welfare of war veterans, ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents.
