Shishu Mandir teachers are the architects of a New India
I studied in this very school under a tin-roof shed
Culture, science, and sports together define Shishu Mandir
I learned values, discipline, and patriotism at Shishu Mandir.
I will construct permanent buildings for Shishu Mandirs in my parliamentary constituency.
I will provide bicycles to all 9th and 10th-class students of Shishu Mandir
I will strive to provide laptops and other necessary facilities.
Studying in Shishu Mandir was my good fortune, and my children missing it is their misfortune
Due to the negligence of rulers, the education system in schools is weakening.
These remarks were made by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 06, 2026: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar described Saraswati Shishu Mandir as a silent institution that shapes the future of the Nation. He lauded Shishu Mandir teachers as the true builders of a New India and said it was a matter of pride for him to have studied in such a school. He recalled that he learned culture, discipline, patriotism, and dharma at Shishu Mandir and assured that permanent buildings would be constructed for all Saraswati Shishu Mandir schools in the Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, along with the provision of laptops and other essential facilities.
The Union Minister attended the inauguration of the two-day sports competitions, Khel Khood, at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in the Housing Board Colony of Karimnagar. He lit the Akhanda Jyoti to mark the opening of the events, played volleyball with the students, and interacted with teachers, also posing for photographs. Addressing the children earlier, he said that Saraswati Shishu Mandir does not belong to any individual but to everyone, as it imparts not only education but also values.
He said Shishu Mandir is not merely a building or an institution of show, but a silent force working tirelessly to build the nation’s future. By nurturing human values and preparing the younger generation, Saraswati Shishu Mandir schools play a vital role in national development, and studying in such an institution is a privilege.

He noted that many Shishu Mandir students have gone on to become officers, software professionals, and political leaders, and said his own journey of public service was possible because of the foundation he received there. He urged students to be inspired to join the Army and serve their country.
Referring to the impact of corporate education, he said that education today has been reduced to marks, ranks, salary packages, and foreign opportunities. In contrast, Saraswati Shishu Mandir does not function as a business. It is neither a government school nor a private school, but a people’s educational movement driven by a mission rather than profit, dedicated to building the future and instilling patriotism.
He questioned whether marks create good human beings or ranks teach values, and stressed that India needs an education system that builds complete individuals with a strong national spirit, not just academic achievers. Such holistic education, he said, is found at Saraswati Shishu Mandir.
He explained that through morning prayers, Vande Mataram, and reverence to Bharat Mata, children are imbued with values from a young age. Along with lessons from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the essence of the Bhagavad Gita, students are also taught mathematics, science, and technology. Hence, he said, Shishu Mandir education represents the blend of culture, science, and sports.
Highlighting the role of teachers, he said that a Shishu Mandir guru is not merely a salaried employee or a clock-bound clerk, but a dedicated individual who shoulders the responsibility of shaping the nation’s future. “The real architects of the nation,” he said, “are the teachers of Shishu Mandir.”
“Education can help a person earn a living, but if it does not instil values, that earning becomes a burden on the family and society. Understanding this, Saraswati Shishu Mandir shapes children not as mere job seekers but as dedicated servants of the nation. Students here learn to think beyond themselves and care for society—this alone defines true education.
Saraswati Shishu Mandir is not just a building or a blackboard; it is a commitment, a beacon of values, and a mission devoted to the service of Bharat Mata. It does not merely educate children, but provides direction to the nation itself.
The Congress government has weakened the education system in government schools. Students were deceived with the promise of a ₹5 lakh assurance card. For nearly four years, around ₹10,000 crore in fee reimbursement dues have remained unpaid, causing severe hardship to students and institutions. Promises of electric scooters to young women upon attaining 18 years of age have not been fulfilled. Financial assistance promised to SC and ST students—₹10,000 after Class 10, ₹15,000 after Intermediate, ₹25,000 for Degree, and ₹1 lakh for PG—has not been delivered even in part. Shockingly, retired teachers and employees who devoted their entire lives to public service are being harassed and arrested merely for seeking the release of their rightful dues.
Shishu Mandir continues to impart education without relying on the government. I can proudly say that I studied in this very school and reached this position in life. It is here that I learned education, discipline, values, and patriotism. Guided by a firm commitment to protect dharma, I continue on my path. I urge Shishu Mandir students to set clear goals, work with dedication, and shape a strong future. I appeal to everyone to support and encourage Shishu Mandirs.”
