KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 10, 2026: Students of Bhagavathi High School, Bhagathnagar and Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony in Karimnagar town, ushered in Sankranthi festivities in a traditional way by letting their creativity flow with Rangoli and traditional activities on the respective school campuses on Saturday.
Located in the midst of a concrete jungle, the school was transformed into a rural setting with rangolies, kites and more. Girls dressed up in traditional attire while boys donned the garb of Haridasu. The students presented colourful cultural programmes

School chairman B Ramana Rao and Director B Vijaya Lakhsmi launched the celebrations by lighting the lamps. On this occasion, they enlightened the students about the importance of celebrating the Sankranti festival (the harvest festival)
The students donned the characters of Godadevi and Lord Ranganatha, Haridasu and Gangireddulu. The chairman and teachers participated in the pouring of ‘Bhogi pandulu’ on the tiny tots, as is a ritual during the Sankranthi festival.
