HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 27, 2025; Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the students who undergo training in Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) are being given a Rs 2000 scholarship every month. For this, the Chief Minister suggested to the state IT and Industries minister D Sridhar Babu to convince the state Finance minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to provide special funds and disburse the scholarship to the ATC students.
Inaugurating ATCs (upgraded ITI institutions) at Mallepally on Saturday, the CM further said that the trained students in the ATCs will also be provided an opportunity of apprenticeship in the TGSRTC. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar should provide the apprentice facility to the students in the RTC.
The Chief Minister criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting the ITIs. Students were not provided technical training in the last government, and ITIs became weak due to not upgrading the courses, the CM charged.
Stating that, as a brother, he was envisaging plans to create a bright future for the students, the CM said a special department will also be established to provide job opportunities to those who underwent technical training in foreign countries. The Chief Minister strongly desired the Telangana students to compete with Japan and Germany in developing technology soon. Japan is ready to teach our youth the Japanese language and provide job opportunities in a developed country.
” Youth should play an active role in the reconstruction of Telangana and also achieve the state a 3 trillion US dollar economy by 2047″, the CM said it was the Congress government that established ITIs in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh in 1956. Today, the ITIs were upgraded to ATCs. The inauguration of 65 ATCs on a single day was a testimony to the sincerity of the state government to provide advanced technical education to the students. “We have already completed 65 ATCs in the state and sanctioned another 51 ATCs. We will complete the construction of 51 ATCs within the year’.
The Chief Minister emphasised that skills are more important than obtaining certificates “Our government is searching for talented students to provide skill development training. Young India Skills University was also part of honing skills among youth”.
Reiterating that Education alone will change everyone’s destiny, CM Revanth Reddy appealed to the students to utilise the opportunity provided in the ATCs, upgrade skills and get job opportunities. The Chief Minister urged the youth to stop to addict drugs. Intelligence will only take us to many heights in life, the CM said that the government is committed to laying a strong foundation for the future of the students.
