JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 19, 2025: Pre-NSS Day celebrations were held grandly at SKNR Government Arts and Science College, Jagtial, on Friday. On this occasion, Principal Prof. A. Ashok addressed the NSS volunteers and emphasised that “service to society is the true spirit of education, and being an NSS volunteer is a matter of pride.”
The keynote address was delivered by the State Best NSS Programme Officer Awardee, Lt. Parlapalli Raju. In his speech, he highlighted the historical significance of the National Service Scheme, which was launched in 1969 on the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. He explained the NSS motto “Not Me But You” and urged students to adopt it as a guiding principle in their lives and actively contribute to community service.
District Programme Officer A. Srinivas, K. Srinivas, Sai Madhukar, Govardhan, Mahesh, Gattaiah, Supriya, Kavitha, Swaroopa, faculty members and volunteers participated in the event. Cultural programmes performed by the NSS volunteers entertained and inspired the gathering, filling the campus with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
