
JAGTIAL, AUGUST 03, 2025: In a special event organised in Hyderabad by the Mahakavi Dr. C. Narayana Reddy Kala Peetham, in association with the Telangana Department of Language and Culture, noted Telugu Associate Professor, poet, and critic Tatvadi Pramod Kumar was presented with the C. Narayana Reddy Literary Award.
The programme was presided over by Nandini Siddha Reddy, the first Chairman of the Telangana Sahitya Academy. MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy and Baisa Devadas, editor of Neti Nizam daily, graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour.
Organisers Ramulu (President) and Poreddy Rangaiah mentioned that Mr Pramod Kumar was selected for this prestigious award in recognition of his valuable contributions to research, criticism, and translated fiction. He was felicitated grandly with a shawl, a memento, a certificate, and a cash award.
On this occasion, Mr Pramod Kumar expressed his joy and pride, saying that Dr C. Narayana Reddy’s literary style and use of expressions inspired his literary passion, and receiving an award named after such a great poet was a matter of great honour.
College Principal Ramakrishna, along with faculty members Sangeeta Rani, Neeraja, Varaprasad, Chandrayya, Sujata, Vasavi, Jamuna, Raheem, Mallikarjun, and others, congratulated Mr Pramod Kumar, stating that it was truly deserving for him to receive such a prestigious recognition.
