
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2025: Renowned writer and Kendra Sahitya Akademi award recipient Ampasayya Naveen and noted singer Anthadupula Rama Devi, famous for her folk and devotional songs, have been selected for the Ponnam Sathaiah Goud Memorial Lifetime Achievement Awards-2025.
The awards, given across literature and arts categories, were instituted by Ponnam Sathaiah Goud Charitable Trust, in memory of late Ponnam Sathaiah Goud, father of Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. The awards would be presented on September 13 in Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of Ponnam, Sathaiah Goud.
The selection committee, under the chairmanship of Ponnam Ravichandra, jury members former Central information commissioner Madabushi Sridhar, senior journalist Dileep Reddy, Telangana language and cultural department director Mamidi Hariksiahna, writer Ayinampudi Sri Lakshmi, had selected the winners and handed over the list to Trust chairman and Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar.
The trust had been handing over the lifetime achievements awards in the field of literature and arts. In the literary field, Naleshwaram Shankaram, Nelima Bhaskar and Chandrabose had received the awards and in the arts, Oggu Dharmaiah, Comrade Vimalakka and Balagam cinema fame Komuramma and Mogilaiah. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 51,000, a memento and citation, said trust vice president Ponnam Ashok Goud.
