

HANAMKONDA, AUGUST 15, 2025: On the occasion of 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Hanamkonda police have erected a flag-post of 79 feet and hoisted the tricolour in Vangara, the native of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, on Friday.
Kazipet ACP P Prashanth Reddy, when he was working as Circle Inspector of Jammikunta in Karimnagar district, launched the tradition of singing the national anthem every day in the Jammikunta town from August 15, 2017, which is still continuing. Then, CI launched the programme to inculcate the values of democracy and patriotism among the residents of Jammikunta, which is continuing.
Continuing his spirit of promoting patriotism, the Kazipet ACP took initiatives for the setting up of the flag-post measuring 79 feet marking the 79th Independence Day on the premises of PV Ranga Rao Government Residential School and Junior College for girls, Vangara in Bheemadevarapalli mandal on Friday with the support of BSNL. Incidentally, it is stated to be the tallest flag-post in the Telangana state in the rural areas.
Inspired by two female Armed Forces officers who led Operation Sindoor, Colonel Sofia Qureshi, Wing Commander, and Vyomika Singh led the Operation Sindoor. Two women officers, Woman SI, Vangara, Divya and Afreen Principal, jointly hoisted the large National Flag on a 79-foot flagpole.

Kazipet ACP Pingili Prashanth Reddy, who is the brainchild behind this one more initiative, executed by CI Puli Ramesh and Elkathurty circle SIs and staff. Warangal CP Sunpreet Singh, DCP, Central Zone, Shaik Saleema appreciated the initiative taken up by the police to inculcate a sense of patriotism among the future hope of young India, girl students, as well as the youth and villagers of that region.
