KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 30, 2024: Telangana Rachayithala Vedika vice president Penugonda Basaveshwar, a poet and also cartoonist from Karimnagar district, and Karimnagar poet Vairagyam Prabhakar received the prestigious Pendhota Sahitya Puraskhar for the year 2023 for their literary works in Siddipet on Sunday.
Mr Basaveshwar has won the award for his book “Prashnanu Mingina Kaalam”, a compilation of poems and Vairagyam Prabhakar for book ‘Balageya Saraswatham’, a compilation. They were presented with cash prize and citation. The award was instituted by Srivani sahitya parishath of Siddipet town. Eminent poets from Karimnagar Nirmala Rani, Sri Puppala, Penugonda Sarasija, Gundu Ramanaiah and others were also present and congratulated the winners.
