
KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 22, 2O25: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Vivekanandapuri, Karimnagar town, organised a Parents’ Orientation Session on the changing education scenario as per the National Education Policy (NEP) for Classes I and II on Sunday, at the school premises.
The orientation aimed to familiarise parents with the new teaching–learning approaches, child-centric methodologies, and academic expectations introduced under NEP, emphasising holistic development of students.
The session was led by Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, Director (Academics), Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar, and Principal & Director of Sister Nivedita School, Hyderabad. She elaborated on experiential learning, competency-based education, and the importance of nurturing critical thinking skills at the foundational level. She also mentioned Jaadui Pitara, which supports Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) by making learning joyful, activity-based, and experiential, as recommended in NEP 2020.


Principal Renuka Balivada and Headmistress V. Anitha also attended the programme and actively engaged with parents, addressing their queries and sharing insights on the school’s academic practices aligned with NEP guidelines.
On the occasion, Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polasani extended warm greetings to the parents and reiterated the institution’s commitment to providing quality education in line with national educational reforms.
The school management highlighted the significance of strong collaboration between parents and teachers to ensure the all-round development of children. The session concluded on a positive note with appreciation from parents for the school’s proactive initiative.
