
JAGTIAL, OCTOBER 127, 2025: An online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and Patent/Design Filing was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Nagpur. The event attracted over 300 participants, including faculty, research scholars, and students from institutions across India. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna, Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial, Telangana State, who emphasised the increasing importance of understanding and protecting intellectual property in academic and research settings. Shri. Kumar Raju, Assistant Controller of Patents and Designs, RGNIIPM, led the session with a detailed presentation on patent and design filing, offering practical insights and actionable strategies for securing intellectual property rights.
The session was moderated by Neeli Vasavi, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, IQAC Coordinator, ensuring smooth interaction and participation throughout. Concluding the event, K. Ramchandram, Head of the Department of Physics, expressed gratitude to RGNIIPM and Shri. Kumar Raju for their expertise and support. The workshop successfully equipped participants with crucial knowledge about IPRs, reinforcing the importance of safeguarding innovations in today’s knowledge-driven economy.
