HANAMKONDA, MARCH 11, 2026: A one-day workshop on “Opportunities in Hindi Translation in the Present Era” was organised under the auspices of the Department of Hindi, Kakatiya Degree College (Autonomous), Hanumakonda, on Wednesday.
The programme was presided over by Prof. G. Srinivas, Principal of the college. P. Sumathi, Head of the Department of Hindi and Associate Professor, served as the convener of the workshop. Vice Principal K Rajini Latha and IQAC Coordinator Prof. A. Srinath also participated. The workshop featured Retired Lecturer Shravan Kumar and V. Mamatha, Assistant Professor of Hindi from Pingili College, as the keynote speakers.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal G Srinivas highlighted the vast opportunities available in Hindi translation across various media platforms in the modern era. Retired lecturer Shravan Kumar explained the different courses and training required to build a career as a Hindi translator. Vice Principal Rajini Latha spoke about how translation between Hindi and other languages can be developed into a professional career. Retired lecturer Mamatha emphasised that Hindi translation can offer promising employment opportunities not only within India but also abroad.
Explaining the significance of the programme, Convener P Sumathi stated that the workshop is being conducted as part of a 15-day certificate course in Hindi Translation. An MOU has also been signed with the Pingle Govt. College Hanamkonda. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks to the faculty members and students who actively participated and contributed to the success of the event.
