

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 22, 2025: The Department of Botany at SRR Government Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar, in collaboration with Government Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Kamareddy, successfully organized a one-day national webinar titled “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for Academics & Research in Higher Education” on Wednesday (January 22, 2025). The event aimed to create awareness and provide insights into the role of IPR in fostering innovation and safeguarding research outcomes in the academic realm.
Togapur Pavan Kumar, a distinguished scholar and expert in Intellectual Property Rights, served as the keynote speaker for the webinar. In his address, Mr Kumar emphasized the significance of understanding IPR for academicians, researchers, and students in higher education. He elaborated on various aspects of intellectual property, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks, and highlighted their role in protecting academic and research innovations.

Padala Thirupathi, the Organizing secretary coordinating the programme and the event began with a welcome address by SRR college Principal Kalvakunta Ramakrishna Principal of Government Arts & Science College, Kamareddy, K Vijay Kumar also shared their thoughts on the importance of such initiatives in promoting academic excellence.
