RAMAGUNDAM, MARCH 06, 2026: A NTPC Telangana organised a Safety Rally as part of the 55th National Safety Week celebrations, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. The rally commenced from Suraksha Kendra and concluded at the Service Building, with enthusiastic participation from more than 500 employees and contract workers.
Participants raised safety slogans and carried banners promoting safe work practices and spreading awareness on occupational safety. The programme concluded with a gathering at the Service Building, where AGM (Safety), delivered the welcome address.
During the programme, Saraiah, an agency worker, presented a Telugu song on Behavioural Safety in NTPC, which was highly appreciated by the participants and received commendation from the GMs and HODs present.
The Safety Pledge was administered in three languages to reinforce commitment towards safety—Telugu by E Sai Kishore, AGM (C&I); Hindi by Binoy Jose, GM (Project) and English by Avijit Datta, GM (Maintenance)
Addressing the gathering, Mukul Rai, GM (O&M), emphasised that safety is a collective responsibility and must remain the top priority in all activities at the plant. He highlighted that adherence to safety procedures, proper use of personal protective equipment, and strict compliance with work permit systems are essential for preventing accidents. He also stressed the importance of behavioural safety, hazard identification, and proactive reporting of unsafe conditions, encouraging employees and contract workers to actively participate in building a strong safety culture.
He reiterated NTPC’s commitment towards achieving the goal of “Zero Harm” and urged everyone to work with dedication to ensure a safe workplace for all.
