RAMAGUNDAM, MARCH 16, 2026: The NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana, as part of its CSR programme, organised a Rural Sports Meet for Government High School Students for the students of Ramagundam, Kamanpur, Anthergaon and Palakurthi mandals on Monday.
A total of 21 Government High Schools from the four mandals are participating in the sports meet. The events being conducted under the programme include Volleyball and Kho-Kho, to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness and holistic development among rural school students.
The opening ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mukul Rai, General Manager (O&M – Telangana), Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, Head of HR, and Pravin K. Choudhari, Deputy General Manager (HR). Officials from the School Games Federation (SGF), members of the NTPC CSR team, and Physical Directors (PDs) from participating schools were also present on the occasion.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, reflecting NTPC’s continued commitment towards community development and youth empowerment through education and sports.
The Rural Sports Meet is expected to provide a valuable platform for identifying and nurturing sporting talent from rural areas.
