
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 17, 2025: A one-day NSS camp themed ‘Swachhta hi Seva’ (Clean and Green programme) was organised at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for women in Nagnuru on the outskirts of Karimnagar town to promote cleanliness and sustainability on Tuesday, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
The programme aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness. Under the guidance of Principal T. Malathi and NSS programme officer K Geetharani, NSS volunteers, students, and faculty members actively participated in the programme. The initiative focused on encouraging individual responsibility towards maintaining a clean and green environment. Students enthusiastically took part in a campus-wide cleanliness drive, removing garbage and plastic waste from the college premises.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal lauded the commitment of the participants. “Such programmes not only beautify our surroundings but also instil a sense of duty and pride in keeping our environment clean and green,” she remarked. The event concluded with all attendees taking a pledge to uphold cleanliness and contribute to environmental sustainability in their daily lives. The event saw active participation from both students and staff members.
