
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 17, 2025: As part of the fifth day of the National Service Scheme camp being organised by the volunteers of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunur, Karimnagar town, had organised a health awareness programme in coordination with the department of Microbiology on Wednesday.
The NSS volunteers conducted a health awareness on seasonal diseases for the residents of Nagunur such as Malaria, Dengue Fever, and Chikungunya, Typhoid, Cholera mode of transmission, prevention and control measurements, importance of a healthy diet. They provided detailed information on the spread of these diseases and the preventive measures that can be taken.
The programme was attended by the college Principal, T. Malathi, NSS Programme Officer and Head of the Department of Microbiology, K. Geetharani, NSS Advisory Member V. Ambika, Microbiology faculty member P. Pravitha, along with the students from the Microbiology department and the NSS volunteers. The awareness drive successfully provided valuable information to the villagers on disease prevention.
