
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 15, 2025: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Nagunur, Karimnagar, completed the third day of its special camp on Monday.
On this day, a large-scale awareness rally was organised in Nagunur village to promote environmental protection. During the rally, NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated and educated the villagers on the importance of protecting the environment. They displayed placards and chanted slogans to raise awareness about key issues such as water conservation, plastic eradication, tree plantation, and household waste management.
The event was led by the college’s NSS Programme Officer, K Geetharani. Speaking at the event, she emphasised that environmental protection is not just the government’s responsibility but a social responsibility for every individual. She encouraged the students to work towards bringing about positive change in society. A large number of NSS volunteers participated, making the event a great success.
Through this camp, students are actively engaging in community service and striving to raise public awareness on important social issues.
