KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 06, 2026: The National Institute of Plant Health Management organised the 6th batch of 7-days training programme on “Scientific Beekeeping integrated with oilseed mission for enhancing honey production along with increasing productivity of Oil Seeds” at Karimnagar, Telangana, from January 31 to February 06, 2026.
The training was sponsored by the National Bee Board, DA&FW, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt of India. A total of 25 FPO farmers/beekeepers from various villages in the Karimnagar District, Telangana, participated in the programme. The designed course content was delivered by NIPHM faculties and resource persons from Shree Natural Honey (Karimnagar), founder Thallapelli Sanjana and other experts. The participants also learned the hands-on training on Honey bee colony management.


NIPHM faculty members Kamalakar Reddy and Ilayya, District Horticulture Officer and other delegates graced the Valedictory session. The participants have an exposure visit to the village for the selection of the Apiary site and crops, etc. The trainees were trained on the classification of Bees, identification of the honey bee box and accessories, colony management, seasonal management, honey extraction, disease pest management and their practical aspects very well.
