IMA Telangana state president-elect Dr P Kishan to assume charge on Sunday evening
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 01, 2025: The ninth Annual State Medical Conference-2025 of IMA Telangana State will be organised at V Convention in Karimnagar town by the IMA Karimnagar chapter on November 2 (Sunday).
Minister for IT and Industry Duddilla Sridhar Babu would be the chief guest, and Manakondur legislator Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana and Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar would be the guests of honour. IMA National president Dr Dilip Bhanushali would attend as a distinguished guest.
Disclosing this to newsmen here at IMA hall in Karimnagar town on Saturday, IMA Telangana state president elect and conference organising chairman Dr P Kishan, organising secretary Dr Polasa Ram Kiran, former IMA state presidents Dr K Shyam Sundar, Dr Edavelli Vijayender Reddy, organising treasurer Dr Ch Vijay Kumar, IMA Karimnagar chapter president Dr Akula Shailaja, secetary Dr Nagasamudram Mahesh, Treasurer Dr Kasam Neelima and others said that the Continuous medical education (CME) programme would begin at 9 am and the installation ceremony of IMA Telangana state body at 5 pm.
On this occasion, they said that the Karimnagar IMA leaders had become presidents of the IMA Telangana chapter since the formation of Telangana state, with the first state president being Dr K Shyam Sundar, later Dr Vijayender Reddy and BN Rao. Now, Dr P Kishan is the fourth IMA Karimnagar leader to become the state president of IMA. They said that there was a good response to the conference, with over 900 registrations so far from the entire Telangana state and also neighbouring Andhra Pradesh state.
The CME programme begins with scientific session on “Atypical Cases in Neurology’ by Dr Sanjay Kumar Kaminwar (Lotus hospital, Karimnagar), ‘the untold story of PET-CT: Its role beyond Oncology” by Dr Chinna Naik (IRIS PET Scan, Karimnagar), ‘The next big shift in cancer care’ by Dr Nishith Vaddeboina (Renova Century, Hyderabad), The new dimensions of Brain and Spine Surgery: Role of Neuroendoscopy, Neuronavigation and Connectomics’ by Dr Ramesh (Medicover hospital), ‘Recent Advances in management of Diabetic Foot’ by Dr ManiKanth Karumuri and Dr Vishwanath Atreya (IKIGAI hospital, Hyderabad), ‘From Mesh to Mastery – Evolution in Hernia care’ by Dr CH Pradeep Kumar (Lifeline hospital, Karimnagar), ‘Advances in Cosmetic Andrology and Male Sexual dysfunction’ by Dr Bhavatej Enganti, (AINU hospital, Hyderabad). ‘Recent Advances in Liver Transplant’ by Dr Mohammed Abdul Nayeem (Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad) and others would speak on various topics.
