HANAMKONDA, MARCH 10, 2026; Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda, affiliated to Kakatiya University, has achieved another academic milestone as nine Associate Professors of the college have been promoted to the cadre of Professors. The promotions recognise their long-standing service, academic excellence, and significant contributions to teaching, research, and institutional development.
The faculty members who have been promoted as Professors are: Rajashekar, Department of Commerce, and Srinath, Department of English. Vasam Srinivas, Department of Chemistry, Venkat Ramana, Department of Economics, Ravinder, Department of Economics, Gowri, Department of Zoology, Samatha, Department of Telugu, Komala, Department of Botany, Sura Shyam Prasad, Department of Botany.
All the promoted faculty members are highly qualified academicians with rich teaching and research experience. Over the years, they have served in various government degree colleges across the state and have made notable contributions to higher education. Several among them are recognised research supervisors under Kakatiya University, guiding postgraduate and doctoral research scholars in their respective disciplines.
These professors have actively participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, and academic forums. Their scholarly contributions include research publications, presentations, and involvement in academic and administrative activities that have strengthened the academic environment of the institution.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Prof. G. Srinivas, congratulated all the newly promoted Professors and appreciated their dedication to teaching, research, and service. He expressed confidence that their expertise and leadership would further enhance the academic standards, research culture, and reputation of the institution.
