KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 26, 2026: National Cadets Corps from 9 Telangana battalion have been imparted training to equip the youth with essential disaster management skills under the upscaling of Aapda Mitra and Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme, which was successfully conducted at Alphorse e-techno school in Kothapalli of Karimnagar town on Thursday.
During the training, volunteers were educated on different types of disasters and taught how to prepare in advance to deal with emergencies. The focus of the programme is on minimising loss of life and property and ensuring effective disaster response at the community level. Along with theoretical sessions, practical training will also be provided in the coming days.

The NCC cadets were taken to the shores of LMD reservoir and briefed the cadets about cyclone and, floods and various natural and man-made disasters, and how to respond to rescue people.
Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy, 9 Telangana Battalion Commanding officer Lt Col AK Jayantha, NCC Administrative Officer Lt Col V Krishna, and other NCC officers participated in the programme. District Fire Officer M Srinivas Reddy, station fire officers Raj Kumar, Narender and others were also present.
