KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 24, 2026: The 16th National Voters’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Telangana Social Welfare Women’s Degree College (TGSWRDCW), Nagunuru, Karimnagar, on Saturday.
The programme was organised to create awareness among students about the electoral process, under the slogan “Nothing is greater than the vote; I will definitely vote.” The event aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of voting to make a well-governed society. The vote was seen as a responsibility and a right of an individual.

The event was conducted under the auspices of the National Service Scheme (NSS). As part of the programme, faculty members and students together took the Voters’ Pledge, affirming their commitment to uphold democratic values and to cast their votes impartially without yielding to any inducements.
The programme was attended by Vice Principal S Padmaja, NSS Programme Officer K Geetha Rani, ACO G. Vasumathi, Political Science faculty member P. Shankaraya, History faculty member T. Jahnavi, Senior faculty member Erroju Venkateshwarlu, along with other faculty members and students.
