KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 29, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, celebrated National Sports Day with immense zeal, paying tribute to the hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand. The day commenced with a vibrant morning assembly, where students highlighted the significance of the day and shared anecdotes from the life of the hockey legend.
Principal B Renuka delivered an inspiring speech on the role of sports in shaping character and discipline. She enlightened the gathering that the day embraces sportsmanship and brotherhood that comes with sports. On this special occasion, Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani and Director Academics Dr T Lalitha Kumari conveyed motivating messages, encouraging students to embrace sports for a healthy body and a sharp mind.
The excitement continued throughout the day as the PET department conducted a series of energetic games. Classes VI to VIII competed in Kho-Kho matches, filling the ground with cheers and enthusiasm, while other classes engaged in fun races and skill-based games. The entire campus resonated with the spirit of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
