
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, DECEMBER 22, 2025: Students of the Telangana Social Welfare Gurukul Women’s Degree College located in the Shatrajupalli area of Vemulawada temple town celebrated the National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of famous Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan with great grandeur and enthusiasm on Monday.
As part of the programme, students organised attractive poster exhibitions and mass games highlighting the importance of mathematics, which captivated the audience. These presentations were designed to clearly explain mathematical formulas, their applications, and the role of mathematics in everyday life.
The celebrations began with College Principal K Lavanya paying floral tributes to the portrait of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Addressing the gathering, she said, “Mathematics is an inseparable part of our lives. It plays a vital role in enhancing thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. Every student should study mathematics with interest and without fear.”
The programme witnessed the participation of Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, Head of the Mathematics Department V. Madhuri, faculty member Asfiya Jabeen, other faculty members, and a large number of students, all of whom contributed to the success of the event.
Overall, the Mathematics Day celebrations concluded on a grand note in an intellectually stimulating atmosphere, fostering greater interest in mathematics among the students.
