
KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 28, 2025: As many as 300 people were provided heart medical treatment at a free medical camp organised by the Challuri Srisalam Memorial Foundation and Dageti Praveen Foundation with the help of villagers at Zilla Parishad High School, in Dharmaram village on Sunday.
The camp was aimed at promoting health awareness and providing essential medical services to the people. SV Hospital, Karimnagar, Dr Challuri Vijay Kumar, along with his team of doctors, Ophthalmologist Dr Sandhya Rani, Physician Dr Eshwar, Gyneacologist Dr Prathista Rao, Orthopedician Dr Vijay, Dentist Dr Mounika and others were also present.
The speakers emphasised the importance of maintaining a healthy heart through regular check-ups, regular exercise and managing stress. They advised participants to maintain a healthy weight, get adequate sleep and limit salt and sugar intake. A balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains, along with regular exercise, can go a long way in keeping heart disease at bay. They also advised people to avoid smoking and limit their intake of sugary and fatty foods, which could increase the risk of heart problems.
The camp conducted free medical tests for children without collecting blood samples for children. The diabetes tests were also conducted free of cost. The panchayat ward members Madhav, Satish, hospital staff Rohith, Pawan, Anji and others were also present.
